It isn’t fun to get a ticket. For most members of the driving public, though, it is a part of life. On average, .23 tickets are issued for every 100,000 automobile miles driven within the United States. Certain cars tend to drive that average up — though whether it is because of the drivers or the automobile is impossible to say. Based on an average of tickets issued in 2007 and 2008, these are the 10 automobiles ticketed most often in the United States.
The Toyota Matrix is tenth
2.64 times more tickets were given to Toyota Matrix drivers than the average. At a rate of .6 tickets per 100,000 miles driven, this automobile is just the first of many Toyota cars to make the list.
9- The Audi A4
The Audi A4’s owners are usually younger and drive dangerously because of its speed and low price.
8-There’s the Subaru Outback
All-weather capability and hauling capacity combined evidently is the perfect recipe for a ticket. Easier to spot and on the roads much more often, Subaru Outbacks tend to get about .62 tickets per 100,000 miles traveled.
7 – Scion xA
The Scion xA gets .63 tickets per 100,000 miles and tend to be found in more urban environments.
6- There’s the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG
This car has 2.76 more tickets received than average with the 500-horsepower it receives.
5 – Toyota Camry Solara
There is only two doors on this little car that many people enjoy because of the sunroof. 2.95 times more than average do these cars get tickets.
4-The Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG
You will find a lot more tickets given to this car. The car gets 3.97 more tickets than average and has a lot of horse power.
The Scion xB is third
The car looks super boxy making it noticeable and gets four times more, or 1 ticket for each and every 100.000 miles, than the normal driver.
2- It’s the Scion tC
This car gets 4.6 times more tickets than the normal driver. For each 100,000 miles, the car gets about 1.05 tickets.
The Hummer H2/H3 is first
Though the combined category of Hummer H2 and H3 may send the numbers a bit higher, the simple fact is that these conspicuous vehicles’ drivers get more tickets than any. It is unclear whether it directly correlates with the car or with the personality type purchasing the car, but one thing is clear; drivers of Hummers get much more tickets than anything else.
What gets the least tickets? The Jaguar XJ Sedan tended to be the car.
